Steering quit working so we put a new hand pump on the drive shaft on it.Then we changed steering cylinders on it.New hydraulic filter. Now I am be told it is the relief valve or a unloader valve. The front and rear hydraulics work fine. Also we took out about 12 gallon of oil and it will only take 5 and the tank is full to the top.We worked the bucket and rams everything works good but no steering and it needs to bleed the air out.

Can not say for sure but I do know on the 560B the steering is run off its own belt driven pump but ya on the D they could have changed it. Yep never have liked any thing with hyd steering on it because if something goes wrong you can have a major steering problem

On A 580C the pump and reservoir are together driven by belt off the right front of motor. You might have an oil leak or no belt. By the way it takes A type. David

The D series hoe and loader uses the main hyd system pump for steering and has a relief valve in line up near the floorboard to control system pressure. it is not supplied like earlier models with a gear pump driven from the Cam gear. It is a different animal and maybe you should try to get a service manual for a D, one from and E should work also, Just seems like yolu are throwing parts at it without a diagnosis and that gets costly. mEl
