In the June 2011 issue of the magazine "Smithsonian" in an article on the first Indianapolis 500 race there is mention of a Case car among the 40 cars in the race. The article is "500 Miles of Mayhem".

That's a great story. Thanks for posting it. I knew Case was the pole sitter at the 1st 500 but had no knowledge of anything else. It seems that by about 1920 everyone realized Case cars were just too expensive compared to the mass production vehicles. What a great piece of history though. Don
