1170 Broken Throttle Cable

The Throttle Cable broke on my 1170 Black Knight with Cab. I got a new cable but my I&T shop manual doesn't give any instructions. What's the best way to gain access to change it out?

I believe you can remove the sheet medal aside of the seat. Large one that goes to floor an has or had sound nsulation on it. You can than get to cable. If you ar large person an have help you might want to remove seat from floor as its not easy manuver body. Seat held n with only 4 bolts.

Thanks I looked at that and I'm afraid if I stand on my head in the cab I'll need the Emergency Response Team to get me out.

I think I'll rig up some sort of temp throttle untill I have more time to look at it.

That happened to my 970 last year. the only way I could get to the bottom end was to pull the floor mat up and take a die grinder and cut a square out behind the brake pedals, worked good. Screwed a piece of sheet metal over the hole

Thanks I thought I might have to either cut a hole or remove the whole steering post or cab to get to it. I made a temp throttle assembly today that works fine so I'll finish planting them dig deeper into to it.
