** Brakes on Vaiw ?? { pic }

Was taking my Vaiw apart and going to check the brakes ... my book I have says to adjust the 3 screws .. { look at picture , mind doesn't have any screws }

Question: Can anyone tell me what tractor this type of brake was used on ??

Those are VA drum type brakes. The three adjusting screws are for disc type brakes.

Do you have any idea what year they went from drum to disc ??
trying to get an idea what year my tug is ..

I hope this might shed a little light on the brakes.You might have to get out your magnifing glass though.

my 51 has the band brakes like yours, and my 49 has disc cnt tom

Hi Dutchman;

My 50 VAC has disk brakes. 51 VAI has band brakes like you. 52 VAC that I got out of Michigan has band brakes again. All of the older VAC that I have seen have disk brakes while a lot of VAI have band brakes.
