Saw this on the Unofficial Allis discussion board, looks like AGCO chief is interested in buying but Fiat is not interested in selling. Don't think it'sgoing anywhere now, but keep and eye on it.

a google search comes up with several articles saying that it was all a hypothetical situation and CNH wasn't for sale. That's probably the worst thing that could happen to CNH. Agco makes some backwards junk from my experiences there's a reason there number 3.

Agco ruins everything they put there eyeballs on! Want examples! What happened to Allis, New Idea, Oliver, Kewanee, & the list goes on. There was some really good stuff within those companies. The most important were the JOBS!!! Some of them made a better disk, or a better planter, or a better tractor, & again the list goes on. But Agco likes buying companies with the intent on putting them out of business so there is less competition. At least thats the way I see it.

Would be great if they bought Kubota, older J.I. Case colors are Flambeau Red and Power Red. Case never painted anything "orange". Lets get our color names straight here. (<:

to the above post as the saying goes "It's not just quiet people that don't say much" I for one am sick of your crap!

A few years ago Fiat was looking to sell CNH to finance their Chrysler acquisition. They must have come up with the cash some other way.

In my opinion, there is nothing left of the Case heritage anyway you cut it, except the corporate name. If they sold out to AGCO maybe we could get some parts again, similar to Oliver, MM, MF, and ALLIS Heritage parts. Have any of you been to a IH dealer lately? Look at the toys, etc. to choose from. Don

they would get the CE side CASE and NH. go to the CASE CE website lot of case hats and stuff to buy. plus some OLD ABE things. at least they know company history.

CASE&NH& IH As they are now, Have Nothing BUT JUNK NOW/The last Item we bought that has that Name on it Belongs in the Junk Pile. There Tractors made today are just Parts From Everybody Else's/Ford Cab's. Ford Motors, Fiat Motors or Gess Ho's/Same Goes With the Drive Lines. You Can't get parts for some of the stuff 2 years after you buy it now.Sorry but SCRAP Is Scrap & Tired of being Rip'ed Off.The Real CASE Stuff all Went out When They Bought out IH.

Sorry Doug if my stab at levity about "orange" offended you or anyone else I appologize. The only "orange tractors were Alis, which AGCO now owns and Kubota.

I really don"t know what crap you are talking about because I only respond negatively when someone else is attacking our regulars directly or Case products without any knowledge of what they are talking about.

If you don"t like my posts then don"t read them. That is an easy fix!!

You think I don't have any knowlege of case products? I have a farm full of the stuff. I could name several implements that worked but not as good as the competition unless you had your head up your bu++ and never ran or looked at anything else.I post very seldom due to your past tirade personally directed at me over a difference of opinion about the eagle hitch. It is solely because of you that I don't post very often. So until you apologize I will keep most of what I know to myself.

I agree, but it isn't just Case building lightened up tractors, it's everyone. All the tractors have gotten cheap on the iron and increased the amount of electrical garbage you don't need anyway. After all how could you farm without heated leather seats and auto climate control? I'll take a 1175.

As I have said more than once on the eagle hitch issue, we are all entitled to our own opinions. While I am passionate about my feelings on the eagle hicth and I have had a lot of experience with conventional 3pt as well as the eagle hitch I personally like the eagle hitch over the original Ferguson type and have seen reasons posted for liking the Ferguson type over the Case type that are just untrue as the reason usually applied to both systems. I like the rigid CAse system, but as I said that is simply my opinion. If you like the Ferguson system that is your choice, they both beat the heck out of bolt on stuff. If I offended you then I am sorry for that.

There are others on the Case forum that have attacked (several times on here) folks I consider my friends and we comminicate off line. When I see that attack by someone that should know better I will step up in their defense. The post I most remember was one where someone new to Case sked for opinions, I gave mine and if I offended you with mine I am sorry, I am a big enough man to appoligize.

You can that the safety nazis that have put themselves in charge in your best interests. Who have decided that a farm tractor needs Tier III and Tier IV engines.
Otherwise a tractor or pickup truck engine would be a plain simple economical and reliable turbo diesel with a Bosch P pump.

preferring DOM (as I do) is not being disloyal to JI Case, the draft and swinging arms are a nice improvement,eh tractors work only marginally with cat. 1 implements limiting ones choices,Oliver/White plows scour much better in our sticky soils than a Case, we have had centennials, st's and ch's (except my 500 Case 5-20 which is the same as a 588 White and has Oliver/White bottoms)never seen one made for eh!a friend pulls a 7-18 jd 2800 onland plow with an MX 305 not something I would want to do with eagle hitch
