I show 1206 of these built between 1940 and 1952. One being made in 1940. None in 43, 47, and 49. Most production in one year was 315 in 1948 followed with 225 in 1951. Hope this helps.

Back in about 1993-1996 era, I hauled 24 DCS from Louisiana, It seems to me that their were about 1000 to 1200 built.
