SC front Hubs

I have discovered that one of the front hubs on my 49 SC is cracked. Will any SC NF. hub work or were they changed sometime in the many years of production. I think I read somewere that they were changed at some point,spindel size I think. Mine has the 1 1/2 inch bearing journal on the inside bearing. Are the hubs different for the cast wheels verses the stamped steel wheels? Does anybody know were I can locate a hub.

Nick I have sent you an E-Mail about the front hub but I forgot to add that the part number stamped on my old hub is 5642A. Thanks Dennis

I think the hubs may be interchangable. I have an SC with two diffeent diameter front hubs.

The hubs are the same casting,but the later hubs have a wider inner race.The later hubs are machined a little deeper to make up for this.When I drove the later race into the early hub it stuck out about 1/16",which does'nt look like it will hurt anything.Nick
