Pat T gave the 3rd stage filter number as NAPA 3191. Will someone give me the NAPA numbers for the other two? Thanks

The NAPA 3511 filter works well and seems to run at just slightly lower fuel pressure than the string wound when new. Both will do the job well but I have a NAPA store 5 miles from my house and NAPA/WIX seem to be doing a good job providing replacements for OEM filters. Hard part is finding the cross-reference data. I've been real friendly with the first stage filter since we tried biodiesel a while back. We thought that with the removal of sulfur and lack of lubricity of present day fuel this would be better for the injector pumps and injectors. Completely broke loose 50+ years of varnish in the fuel system and it lands in the first stage filter. Ended up draining the tank and using mineral spirits with a flex handled brush to scrub the tank interior. Flushed and refilled with straight dino-juice diesel. I had to do a couple more first stage filter cleanings but looks like I'm over the hump now. My advice is stay away from biodiesel if you are running vintage tractors, add fuel conditioner to the regular diesel for lubricity.

The first filter is basically a glorified water trap and screen, the second filter I buy from CASE, it looks like a ball of yarn, and the third can filter I also get from CASE, but WIX and Baldwin also offer it. The second and third filters are the important ones. The third filter fits 400-1030(early), fairly common item, can type is WIX 33191, NAPA 3191, Baldwin BF7726, or CASE A27983. As for the secondary filter WIX 33511, NAPA 3511, Baldwin PF906, or CASE A7627, but they offer a metal can paper type whereas CNH sells you a wound string ball type filter. I would go with the OEM version, as it's the same as original, but the metal ones may be better, never tried them yet as my CASE dealer stocks them.

On the Road with Dave Gohl: Tractors and Farming - by Dave Gohl. I never thought I'd live to see the day, when I could call myself a farmer. What allows me to say this? Well, when our family moved to our 20 acre site near New Prague, Minnesota, I had one thought in mind. You guessed it, farm it somehow. A little history is in order. In my younger days, mom, dad and my brother made frequent visits to dad's youngest brother Pete, who took over the home farm from grandpa MIke. It was the typical set-up, milk cows, pigs & chickens. In the winter, we'd play
