Cases 310G Generator Prob

My generator on my Case 310G appears to not be charging. To the best of my knowledge this is a bone stock system. What are the troubleshooting proceedures? Generators are a little before my time,I will be greatful for any advise or links.

Could be a bad voltage reulator between the generator and the ammeter. Take the generator off, to a alt/gen rebuild shop and have them bench test it. This will tell you if its the VR or genny. If its the generator then get them to rebuild it, much cheaper than a new one and just as good.
