If you have a CASE 446 with a 2 cyclinder 16 horse Onam there are 2 possible causes: 1.Fuel pump, these things quit with no warning and restart sometimes with no warning. Starting the tractor may be enough to get it going for a short time. 2. THIS IS MOST LIKELY THE PROBLEM. If you have ever used gasahol or met. then you need to replace the float in the carb. They sweal up and stick after sitting in gasahol for a while. I used gasahol in mine and it would run fine for about 20 mins. then quit. If I changed the float it would last about 1/2 tank then stop again. You need to replace the float (it is a fibre float) with a new one and replace the gas with fresh 87 without met. or alcohol. IF YOU NEED INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO REPLACE THE FLOAT E-MAIL ME AT DCP54@AOL.COM AND TITLE IT "446 CASE FLOAT" P.S. IF I REMINBER CORRECT, FLOAT WAS CHEAP (5 YEARS AGO).
