Cab to open station

Thinking about buying a 1175 with a cab and am wanting to go to open station. What all is needed? Fenders and platform or just fenders? Where is the best salvage yard to get this stuff priced fairly? t

Sorry I can't help you much on Salvage yards and the process involved.

If memory serves me right from the 1070 we had I think you will need to replace the whole platform to do this. Only the cowl stays. Not sure about the pedal area under the cowl.

Have to ask what you want in the long run here? If you are wanting it for collector value, yep you want to change out this stuff. If you just want the open air feeling of a open station tractor here is another idea. Just pull all the glass and doors/windows out. Then you have a shade cover and ROPS.

Just a thought

Not sure where you live or your reasons to go to an open station but I will say this - the rops only setup is a very cold situation in our part of the country in the Fall, Winter, and Spring (Wisconsin). If I had to go back to farming full time now I would definitely have a cab with heat!

All you need is fenders, steps, and the plate that goes over the fuel tank. You can use the plate from the cab and just cut off the row of bolt holes that attch it to the cab. I have converted several. Fenders are not easy to find and steps are even harder.
