find a local case dealer that was case before the international merge and ask them to run your serial number and they could tell you by the serial number break but if they were international guys then they couldn't help because they don't have the old case books to look at..Here is an old case dealer..
Deploy Ag. (740)667-0363 ask for randy and he might help you..

When you clean the old paint off you should be able to tell what the original color was.On some of mine the engine and trans/rear end casting have had a red primer that could be mistaken for flambeau red.If you pull the steering wheel you should be able to tell the original color.I believe the steering wheel was installed after painting.Good luck and keep us posted. If yours was a yellow painted tractor you could paint it either way depending what the base color was. Personally I like to see a few ind. yellow or olive drab tractors among flambeau at a show.

this one is painted industrial yellow with a belly mounted sickle mower and im guessing it was probably used by a county to mow road ditches. if you can paint it either way what paint job would give it more value?

Hi MN,
I have a 1951 VAI that is painted flambeau red, same as ag tractors. It came that way new. Rear rims and centers are flambeau. Front wheels, pressed steel 16 inch are flambeau with silver rims. I am third owner.
