430 draftomatic hyd oil

How much oil would the hyd system hold and does it use hytran? Thanks

It depends on serial number.....

The capacity of the hydraulic system / torque tube is 16 quarts, unless it is a 4 speed only. If it is a 4-speed (no triple range, shuttle, dual range, etc) the capacity is 19 quarts. These should be the numbers you are looking for since you specified a draft-o-matic, which should have been manufactured after serial number 8191147.

The capacity of the hydraulic system / torque tube is 12 quarts, unless it is a 4 speed only. If it is a 4-speed (no triple range, shuttle, dual range, etc) the capacity is 14 quarts.

Hy-tran is the current oil of choice, although the original recommendation was SAE 10w-30, or Automatic Transmission Fluid type A, or Case TCH. - Joe

Thanks Joe, It is a 825 serial number and it is triple range with a hand clutch.
