Would it be possible to put a 1210 engine in a 995 David Brown?

Thought I would be a little more specific here. We have a 995 with a rod hanging out the side and have access to a good engine out of a 1210

Yes, I believe you can swap that engine.The front pump you will not need.But you will need to swap out the clutch unit.Make sure you measure the flywheel because you may need to swap it out also. The engine will bolt up to your bell housing.

that should'nt be any problem its the same engine both are a 4/55 db engine,the injector pump eng oil pump clutch and flywheel are different but those parts from your 995 will fit,you could use the 1212 inj pump if you like you would have more power but you would have to modify the throttle and stop linkages,i done this myself i put a 1490 eng into a 996 all bolts lined up hope this helps you. tom
