So who's getting new Case tractor (big boy toys) for Christmas this year. Got my eye a 1960 or 61 Case 930 but it may have to wait till spring. Am healing up, went out and started the 29 L Sunday and put in the shed. Can hobble with out crutches, but works better with one crutch. Anyone getting a new Case for Christmas lets hear from you and please post pictures.

I bought myself a 1936 C on cutoffs. 4" DC pistons, gas head and manifold, clutch is broken though... tires are now up and head off to fix stuck valve problem.

Hoss,
Still waiting for you to bring it :D . Got a 1959 900B setting in the shed or even a 61 930. If you were closer that 520 would probably have a new home. Happy holidays to you and your family Hoss,

I pulled my 38 C I bought when I had my accident. Wanted to start it but had my g/f helping and she wasn't used to driving my 29 L so I just pulled it out of the road and put it next to the LA that needs a chain repair. Looks my repair line keeps getting bigger. Good luck with yours and have a happy holiday.

Have Heard it Run couple weeks ago ., got it summer of 2008 with a water stuck engine ,.. one of them get around to it projects ..

Hey 1031D, saw your pic and am wondering if you could tell me what size tires you have on it. From the pic I'd say they are bigger than mine. Mine has 12 x 24 rear and 6.00 x 16 front. My rear ones are still the old style with the continuous lug, not great for traction but I guess not bad for just being old. Enjoy your project, did mine last winter.

Bruce, someone did a nice job on mine with cutoffs, I have 7.50-18 fronts and 14.9-28 rears. I am actually working on a 1955 400 diesel right now, then it's onto my C. The 400 is at the turning point where things stop coming apart and start going back together again(finally!!!!) The plan is to put in new 4" sleeves, have the head redone and use it to power our restored 1924 CASE 22x36 thresher. My C sat in a barn for at least the last 10 years untouched and unknown until the widow passed and the estate was sold. It also has a PTO on it. Caseman-d, your C has quite a bite, hope you are good enough to enjoy the holidays! I was reading in the paper a Mt. Horeb Wisconsin man was killed when his tractor rolled on top of him not too long ago, lucky you jumped!

Case 430LCK , Low Center King, 10 in frts, 16.1 rears. Rear tire is the same ones used on the 1570 front. Runs great, nice and straight. Must be the elf version????

and it arrived at the farm yesterday. I'm scrambling to learn everything I can about it now, specs, capacities, etc. It looks to be in good shape with some recent work done on her. Looks like hydraulics, alternator, belts, hoses and rear tires all new/rebuilt. Does anyone have a source for online information? I'll post a picture in a day or so. Thanks, Eric

i brought this home in october. It is my grandpa's 51 sc. He bought it used in 1952. It went through a tornado in the 70's and has been sitting ever since. I'm hoping to have it done by the summer of 2011. Needless to say i have lots of work to do! haha

Caseman-d, No definate plans right now but you never can tell what the next fence row or delapidated old shed may contain, Glad you are on the mend, God bless you and all fellow forumers during this season. mEl

looks like your C will not have a traction problem with those tires, mine will spin out long before it runs out of power. I can plow in 3rd gear and still it will slip before powering down. I know now why it had fluid in the rear tires when I got it, problem was the stems had leaked for years and rusted the rims out to the point that the tube was exposed and I thought they would blow when loading on the trailer. be nice to have the big rubber, the tires were still good so I put the same size rims on as it had, but hey it's supposed to be for enjoyment now,not for getting it done in a hurry. Have a good Christmas.

Good to see the old C will get a new lease on life. The pictures are my dad's 38 C Case that has been in the family now for about 59 years so I am not getting a new Case. In the early 60s in Kansas, I rescued this tractor from the junk man. Then about 1980,I rescued it again out of the old homeplace cowshed in Kansas by hauing it 500 miles to my current home and barn in Illinois. When I was growing up, it always sat outside. Now it is always parked inside and runs good and no smoke. It has 4" pistons.

I thought my two pictures would post at the bottom below the other old C Case that I referred to. Sorry for any confusion.
