1959 430 CASE?

I spoke with a fellow who has a 1959, (year) 430 for sale. He says the tag says it's a 411b. Is there a mix-up here? The thirty series didn't start till 1960, and would a 430 tractor have 411b on the tag?

Thanks,
Glenn F.

The tractor he is referring is not a 430, but rather a predecessor to the 430. The 400B series was produced from 1958 to 1959 and had a COM drive. The "tin work" (hood, grills, fenders, etc) were similar to the early 430s, but there were some differences. The 411B was the row crop version of the 400B series and the 410B was the utility version. There were 2790 411Bs made and 868 410Bs. The 300B series was the same tractor with a dry clutch.

Joe Young: Thanks for the info on the Case 410B. Where did you get this data? I'm trying to get details on my 410B with little luck.
