I just bought a Case model S in complete shape for $100 but it was siezed. It had sat for about 6 years. It took me a couple days but i had it running with no trouble at all. I've been told that the case S models are getting rare. The serial no. is 5600495. I've never had too much to do with old case tractors so can any body help me out decifering the serial no. or giving me any info on them, like horsepower....etc. Thanks

A.J.,
Sounds like you got a good deal there. Only a couple days to get it running after 6 years sitting - that"s not bad.
How"s the sheet metal and are you going to restore it or put it to work?
I"ve had my 1945 SC for about 15 years and it is my old faithfull. Fun to drive, easy to get on and off and I prefer the hand clutch over my ft clutch tractors.
Got a picture?
See attached of my SC.
