Me and my Dad are "red tractor" people, but a co-worker told us to come look at some "old junkers" in their abandoned barn. We found two Case RC's which we're bringing home this Saturday if the rain holds off. I will post some pictures if anyone is interested. I'm not sure of the year of them yet but one is a over-the-top steer model(1935 or 36) and a unstyled side-steer(1937 or 38) both on factory rubber. They have been sitting in the barn for at least 30 years but aren't in bad shape. The side steer has a Case rear sickal mower, they also came with a set of front and rear weights for Farmall and a Super C parts tractor. I know these RC's are somewhat rare and I guess you don't find two everyday. They will join our 1940 Farmall A, 1940 Farmall H, 1951 Super C, 1958 Cub Loboy, and 1929 Model A tudor. Looking forward to making these look purty again. I have been doing a lot of research on these tractors. Anyone out there have one or have any tips I need to know about them. Thanks for any responses.

The only tip I have is one that you are already aware of since you and your dad are already involved in restorations....be sure to have lots of patience. There may be times you need earplugs so you can't hear some of the words your dad says and vice versa.

Case tractors were overbuilt structurally. Components were heavier than maybe necessary. I have been pleasantly surprised with each of my Case tractors that I worked on. Usually what has needed to be done is just an overhaul.
