My Dad and I are in the process of fixing up an 800 diesel com and I need to know 3 things how much is the 1) Oil capacity 2) hydraulic capacity 3) converter (com) capacity and 4) what type of fluid in the converter? Wr're putting the motor back together (had some stuck valves) and I need to get all the fluids so we can get them changed before start-up. Thanks! Kevin

Help me out here...we went to put the head back on and found that the engine gasket was too big for the block...it was a 4.125 bore head gasket and what we needed was a 4.00 bore. It is an 801B and all the casting numbers matched so why is there 2 sizes of gaskets? One set for std bore and one for over-bore?

Engine will hold 9 qt with filter of Good diesel oilsuch as delvac or rotella 10-40. Com holds 4gal of Case tch or Hytrans or Dextron atf.Com also has filter on r side Trans an hyd will hold 17gal total. However i believe 800 series had seperate hyd sump an will hold 10.5qt so you still need 17gal total but 10.5 is in seperate sump at rear where filter is also located on rear at bottom -(triangular cover with 3 cap screws)Case tch or hytrans oil.
