Went to a plow meet a week ago with my C. It has a 'graty' sound that seems to come from the bevel gears. The odd thing is it is intermittent. Also when I pull the clutch lever back to apply the pulley brake, the transmission starts to turn again. Could my input shaft be loose, being able to move back and forth slightly, and could these problems be related? I read in the opp. manual there is a tool provided with the tractor to set the bevel gears, does anyone know what the tool measures so I can make one and possibly get this set up properly. I still want to add the 4th gear, might be all one project. Thanks for input.
