I do not think they make hot patches anymore. If you are having that much of a problem, we have places around here that fill tires with polyurethane foam, such as junk yard loaders and highway mowers and other things where you are running over glass, metal, nails, ect. Your tire will weigh about 50 pounds but you could not make it go flat with a shotgun. The only bad thing is you have to cut the tire off when you need to replace it, but if you got 20 years out of this set, would pay for itself in a hurry.

Tractor Supply has some stuff called Slime I believe. It looks like neon green slimy stuff and you are supposed to put it in your tube type or tubless tires to make them self sealing. Never have tried it but it may be a solution for your.

We never had trouble with briars as the thrones are real short, but Bois 'de arc and Mesquite thorns from trees down here in Texas are about 1" long and they really play heck with tractor tires.

i have had slime in them for a while, and that has really helped, but these tires are about gone.
several boots and wore out.

the bad thing is, me or my dad cant patch a tube
anymore. wont stick. we are usin cold patches
and glue just like we have always for the last 40
years.
lucked up couple years ago, and bought 20 hot patches, but now i am down to 1 left.
any one still make them?? THANKS FOR THE HELP

The local Farm King stores keep a good supply of hot patches in inventory. That's all I'll use.

Steven what wht its worth, I found this on line. This could offer some pointers to your cold patch sticking problem or could be complete bicycilist BS.

That Slime gunk works wonders! I put it in my lawnmower tires and have not had a flat in years. My buddy told me that airplane tires are 25 ply but they are a pain to mount on a normal rim as he uses them on gravity boxes because they do not pop.

6 plys are available, although most will be just a 6 ply rating. That still won't take care of the problem. If you have a thorn problem you might put in a reliner, that will stop the problem for the most part. If you can't find a reliner, just an old inner tube will work also. I have did that and worked real well also.

We have neighbors/friends who buy used commerical aircraft wheels and tires (everything is mounted and ready to go) after they are they are taken off of the planes. They install them on their hay wagons (they custom bale and go all over the county) and other equipment. I think from what they said the price is very reasonable and airplane tires have some sort of awesome ply rating for the stress of the landing impact. You might google search to see if there is somewhere you can order from or someone in your area that sells these items.
