Case 580ck popping out of gear

late 60's 580ck no shuttle shift
Pops out of gear 1st-4th

anyone know what my problem is thanks

If the shift lever can easily be pulled into neutral with little to no resistance, the detent ball spring is broken or lost most of its tension. Another possibility is worn shift rail that dosen't allow the detent ball to firmly seat in the rail. Everything is in the shift cover. If a rail is being removed, make sure to cover the hole in the cover with a rag where the detent ball is located. Otherwise, that detent ball will fly out, and you'll spend the next three days looking for it.

yes it seems like it will go into neutral with ease
I have tried to adjust the linkage but that didnt help any
