Case 530ck diesel engine miss and knock

I have a 530ck diesel that I have put on about 35 hours since I purchase it. While using it last night it developed a miss at higher RPM and also seemed to have developed a knock somewhere that I can"t determine, not sure if the miss is related to the knock? When I bought it I replaced the clutch and pulled off the oil pan to inspect the bottom end. It must have had a recent crank regrind because of the undersized bearing. The engine ran excellent with no misses and still holds 50 psi oil pressure at an idle, even with the knock. I do not believe the knock is crank and bearing related, but the knock has a deeper tone, and sounds about the same low and high rpm. I changed fuel and oil filters 35 hours ago. It appears to be getting a good supply of fuel.
Any ideas and suggestions on the problems would be greatly appreciated.

A few years ago, a fellow had a 530 Case diesel with a knock coming from the engine. The oil pressure was good. When I pulled the oil pan, #3 connecting rod bearing was bad. The knocking came from the loose connecting rod itself and the #3 piston hitting the cylinder head. Had the crankshaft welded up then turned back to standard. Had to replace #3 connecting rod. Better pull the pan and closely check all of the connecting rods.

Thanks for the advice. I figured I may need to pull the pan off, you confirmed what I was thinking, I was hoping there would be a simple solution.
