Clutch frozen so I cannot tell if the pistons frozen. How can I manually turn crank? Any suggestions helpful.

Can I use the hydraulic pump on a PTO. What speed does it need to run on.

Obviously, the quickest way to turn over a backhoe motor is with the electric starter. To turn the motor from the front would require removing the front hydraulic pump. If it doesn't have an electric starter (missing? or remove it) use a pry bar, insert it into the starter hole, and try turning the ring gear. Forget turning the motor over by using the PTO. The leverage is all against you. The motor turns over at least three (540 PTO) times to the PTO's once.
