300b needs a engine

I found a 300b that needs a crank in a bad way. Just wondering, is there another engine that will fit on the tractor from a combine or swather. thanks

Go to agkits.com and look under model index. You have a model G148 motor which fits a lot of small tractors.

The Case 600 combine has a 201 cu in. engine that (I've been told) will fit .

The 188-201 gas engine have a three bolt starter and do not match the two bolt starters of the series that you have. Be careful what you buy without taking measurements of the clutch housing opening, the bolt centers of the mounting bolts, etc. I have put the 188s in VACs and it is a job regardless of what some say. Don't lay out money for an engine that may not fit. If all else fits you may be able to make the three bolt starter work by fixing the block so that bolts could be screwed into IT to hold the starter, Proceed with caution, be absolutely sure you can make it work for they are NOT the same. Also, check the overall length of the blocks and compare as all Case blocks are not the same!mEl
