I have a series I or II D-17 LPG. I just recently revived the tractor after sitting in the field for two years. It runs great but when I turn on the propane it can hear the gas really spraying hard in the manifold. I have been keeping the on/off valve almost closed so the tractor will run. I think the regulator which is assume is the round object just ahead of the carb is stuck open. Any ideas?

I have a 60 model D17 LP with the same problem,
the diaphram in the regulator is defective in mine. Not sure if they are avaliable for ensign regulates, may have to get different brand.
For what it is worth my 2 cents.
