I need some help from an expert on WD 45's. For the last six months my workhorse will not start, I started with the fuel system and cleaned it up. I then went to the electrical system. I installed new wires, plugs, points.. etc.I thought it would crank right up, no luck, the problem seems to be with the ignition coil, although it is getting juice, it does not return a spark. The coil is new and does work on my truck. The tractor has a 12 volt system and I have correctly replaced the wires as they were, hot wire to coil(+). Neg going through the resistor and on to the distibutor casing. Noluck. I need help.
Thanks,
Mark

Resistor should normally be on the positive side. Check spark by energizing coil and then openning circuit-look for spark- if you have it then the points are the problem.

Check the ignition switch or starter solenoid switch. On cars with an external resistor you need to bypass the resistor for starting. This function is sometimes done with the starter solenoid switch.
