Did you remove the two bolts holding the weights to the wheel?

I have already removed the wheels which were attached by four bolts to the weights. The weights are still attached at the rear hubs with the five lug bolts through the weights. I just can't get them to budge off these lug bolts after the nuts have been removed.

It sounds like you are just trying to remove the wheel centers (weights are different). I've had problems getting them off and have had to take off the seat in order to get a 4x4 to fit next to the spindle/hub. Then I took a sledge hammmer and hit the 4x4. I jacked up the tractor so that I could rotate the wheel to hit it in different areas....they can be tough! Another option might be to put a hydraulic jack between the fender mount and wheel and try to push it off with that.

Eldon:

They may be called wheel centers, but they are heavy steel weights. I have already removed the wheels from both sides along with the four mounting bolts each. I am unsure what you mean by a 4x4. It appears to me like I would need to use something like a huge gear puller?? Thanks. Mike

Mike I use a 4x4 piece of wood because it is less likely to damage the casting. On a C you have the formed steel rim (the part the tire mounts directly to), the cast iron wheel center (which the rim is bolted to) and the wheel hub/spindle (the part with the 5 studs). If you have the optional cast iron weight, it bolts to the wheel center either on the inside or outside with 2 bolts. If it is on the inside you will have to take the wheel center off to remove the weight. The wheel center is the part that I find is a tight fit or sometimes rusted (or painted) to the hub.

Thanks Eldon. Yes, I am talking about the cast iron wheel centers. I will keep working on them.
