You need what is called a "selector" valve. Run a line from the output port on your Tractor's hydraulic control to the input port on the selector valve. Run the loader rams from the front output port and the rear rams from the rear output port of the "selector" valve. Push the selector valve forward to operate the loader and pull back for the rear rams. The selector valve will hold whatever position the ram is in at the time it is moved. eg: if you lift the loader 3 ft off the ground and pull the selector valve back to use the 3PH, the loader will stay at that height until you push the selector valve back to the front position at which time the 3PH will stay at whatever position it was in. I have this setup on my WD which works really slick when using the loader to move dirt and the back blade for grading it. I picked up my "Selector" valve at Central Tractor but they are avaliable at Northern Tool and probably other places as well.

Yup..but put the selector valve under the seat or somewhere where it can be reached..I fabed up a ram lock to keep the rear blade up while using the loader, both can be reached from the seat or from the ground...get a good valve(mine is on/off) that can also be used for a "hold" for the loader..note, the loader is plumbed out the back outlet under the seat where I can reach the valve...good luck..Mark

Go to "Parts & Pieces" under "Galleries" to the left. I have posted two pictures of the valve as installed on my 1952 WD and another picture of the valve as it came out of the box. You will note that I modified the valve by removing the original control knob and linked it instead, to a lever reachable from the seat. A selector valve with one inlet and two outlets works best for this application. The inlet of the selector valve connects directly to the original hydraulic port of your tractor's hydraulic system. I tee'd the loader ram hoses off the front outlet port of the selector valve and the rear rams off the rear outlet port. This transfers the pressure to the front of the tractor when valve is in the forward position and directs pressure to the rear of the tractor when the valve is in the back position. The action of the original hydraulic control lever on the tractor works as originally designed. E-mail me about valve as "out of the box". Hope this helps.
