Well I finally decided to tear into the clutch for real. I stripped the tractor down to frame and tires and pulled the motor, took about 3 hours going nice and slow. When I unbolted the 6 pressure plate bolts I had to soak the flywheel/Pressure plate with AeroKroil (damn I love that stuff!!) Anyway the pressure plate was broken where it meets the clutch disc. Actually it was shattered into 3 pieces!! The clutch disc was powder with some metal in it, and the surface against the flywheel was perfect. The flywheel is smooth as can be no damage or burning. I test fit the 9 spring Pressure Plate and a used clutch and it fits perfect!! BTW the 9 spring PP is a massive unit compared to the 6 spring type nearly twice as thick everywhere. While I have it all apart I am gonna blast the smaller parts, grind and strip the rest and repaint it.
Thanks again for all the help John
