Numbers 1 thru 96 Allis Chalmers "B" tractors were built in 1937. It don't have electric start does it? A guy down the road as an early one too. It doesn't have electric start or even a place to mount a starter. My '38 has electric start though.

ALLIS "B"S DIDN'T HAVE ELECTRIC START UNTIL 1940 WHEN THEY CAME OUT WITH THE "SPECIAL" WITH ELECTRIC START. I HAVE ONE. MY 38 IS CRANK START,
#17 WOULD BE CRANK START AND HAVE THE AIR CLEANER ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ENGINE THEN WOULD LATER "B"

I have an early 1939 B with electric start on it. I may or may not have came from the factory with the starter, but, one is on there now. It came with the mount for a starter.

there were 100 tractors built in 1937, starting with #1. I think all had the Wakashaw motor. Allis started with 101, i think, in 1938.
