Greg, i am no expert on the D series, but suggest the following
Engine-- book says 30 wt, use 10W-30 motor oil, just like your truck.
Transmission/power director- book says 20wt or auto transmission fluid, dipstilc left front corner of transmission case.
Steering pump--book says 20wt or auto transmission fluid
Final Drives--book says 90 WT gear lube. you have to remove the steet metal pans on the bottom of the drop box, inside the rear wheels to clean and change oil.
The most important thing you can do is not to mix oils. Use what you want and stick to it. I personally like 20wt hy-trans fluid for the steering, transmission and hydraulics on most tractors. Anything you buy these days is probaby 100% better than whaat was availaable in 1958. I had on "C a few years ago that i put 10W-30 engine oil in everything but the final drives and it worked great for several years.
