Yes you can install a 540RPM rear pto. The best way to do it is to find a parts tractor with PTO. You will need the gearbox that mounts under the the transmission, the PTO shifter and bracket, the shaft,bearing and U-joint assembly. Due to interferance with the PTO shaft, you may also need the drawbar and the "C" shaped part that attaches the front end of the drawbar to the rearend casting. Earlier WCs without PTO had to have these parts changed, not sure about the later ones. Not sure what you mean about the side PTO for a mower. If you are talking about that flat belt pulley i don't know of any mowers that run of the belt pulley.

That's what I needed to know. The side mount will be used for a buzz saw. I guess I need both assemblies. I'll have to start looking for those parts now.I'm familiar with old Fords, but don't know anything about this one. Well, all tractors have motors and wheels, and things can be figured out from there! Thanks, again.

You should be able to find the flat belt pulley as an assembly. When you install it you will notice a spiral of holes for the locking bolt which is above the pulley opening in the clutch housing. The pulley should be locked in place at the hole that allows for a very small amout of play in the gears. Then mark it somehow so you can get it back in the correct place next time you use it.
