Hi Tom, We had an Allis WC on our Ohio dairy farm for many years. I'm not sure where Grandpa bought it, but it had a front end loader, trip bucket. We used it until the mid 80's when younger brother bought a new Case skid steer loader. The WC had the second shift lever, in the up position was direct range. There was a center position, neutral with the pto operational, and moving the lever to the down position gave a low range of 4 gears. (about 2/3 speed of direct gears). This tractor DEFINITELY had 8 forward and 2 reverse gears! I wanted to pull the WC in the antique classes, but Dad said we needed it on the loader. (We did). AC pullers know about this additional gear box, it's desirable to find.
