Chris: Garden tractor not operated for a year. Tried to start. Found no spark to plug. What do I look for-where? Has generator--wires from generator go to box. (not easy to remove cover-have to move generator & an engine sheild (I think))Is this just voltage regulator under covered box? Where are points? All help appreciated, thanks john

I have a briggs & stratton 10hp modal 23d engine the points are under a small cover located below the muffler halfway down the engine. I have replaced the points, condencer, coil, and spark plug but I can"t get a spark either. Does anyone what could be the cause and what to do to get a spark
