Eric, Bryan is correct on the problem your having. Anytime the ram cylinder leaks or the hydraulic hose going from the control valve to the ram cylinder leaks , it fills up the rockshaft housing and leaks over into the axle housing. It's been a while since I have been in a D14 , but if I remember right the only thing you need to split or take off the tractor is the rockshaft housing (lift arm housing )on the very back of the tractor. This isn't a big deal (If I remember?).Once it is off , the cylinder and the hose is accesible. Hope this helps.
