Well... what things did you undo? If you pulled the head, you certainly removed the spark plug wires. Double-check and be sure you have the number 1 wire from the distributor going to the number 1 plug. Then rotate around the distributor.. firing order is 1-2-4-3. Set the engine to where number 1 cylinder is at combustion TDC and see that the distributor rotor is pointed at the wire that goes to your number 1 spark plug. Are you getting spark? Is there fuel in the carb? Did you unhook any wires at all? Check the above, if you can't find anything wrong, repost here, describing exactly how you dismantled the engine when you did the rings.

Thanks for all the help and replies. After putting rod bearing and rings in, new head gasket changed the valve settings. Set the valves at 0.10 starts and runs great.
