Take the pedal and have it bored out and a bushing put in. Pull the shaft out and have it built up and turned down and it will be like new.

The tractor is a d17. That shaft you are talking about, it doesn't go through into the transmission does it? What would you use to pull the shaft?
thanks

the shaft you are talking about does go into the hand clutch housing,i had a heck of a time getting mine out ,used pipe wrench, vice gripps and a hammer, but i finally got it . i bought a new one from agco for about $ 30.00 .be careful if you do this as the detent ball for the pto shifter is on the inside of this shaft and will fall into the bottem of housing when you pull the shaft.then you get to split tractor to fix the screw up [ expiriance talking] but not too bad a job. i had my pedal bored and a bushing installed, works great now. good luck. david l wilson i2bzy@hotmail.com
