I put a 5 gal. bucket over mine, but not to keep the rain out. The bucket keeps the exhaust pipe from tearing the tarp. The tarp will be throwed out when I build the tractor shed. That seat sure will hold a lot of water anyhow.

WE'LL WE USE IT EVERYDAY TO SPREAD SAND AND THE TARP IS JUST A NUSINCE TO PUT ON AND GET OFF, AND I WOULD FORGET TO PUT IT ON ALSO, WE ARE GOING TO TRY THE TAPPING THE MANIFOLD AND THAT SHOULD WORK, BUT ALLIS DIDN'T THINK THIS THING THREW VERY GOOD WHEN THEY DESIGNED IT
