What about a 4W220? Does it have the same rears, transmission, and driveline setup as the 7580. It is rated at 220Hp. Why were the driveshafts always flying apart or a weak point.

These were not the same. The drive shafts particully pto shaft on 7580 were what you really had trouble with. We found that if you balance driveshafts from 0 to 15 degrees angle you did not have as much trouble.

The pto drive shaft was slowed way down on the 4W series tractors, and did not have near the trouble. The 4W220 was rated at 220 engine HP, the 7580 was 185 PTO HP. They equal about the same.
