Sold last Saturday at an auction in Spanish Fork UT. It wasn't running and I'm not sure why. Maybe no one wanted to crank it. The owner seemed surprised that he couldn't get it started. Tried push starting it a couple of times...no go. The tag on it said "B3608". I thought it looked really good. I liked the old timey tire tread. They looked to be really old, but not completely rotted yet (still held air). I know nothing about the market for these things. What do you think? Did the buyer (not me) get a good deal or no?

I paid $700 for mine, it didn't look 1/2 as good and the tires were on their last legs. I did get a single bottom plow, scraper blade & hydraulics though. Your is definately a beauty.

Well, it's not mine. I just took the picture and made note of the selling price. If I had known better I would've had my hand in the air. At that price I should have taken a chance anyway.

That seems like a lot for a B. I had to pay 250.00 for mine, but that was back in '95. I guess things have gone up since then.

That tractor was not a purchase.... IT WAS STOLEN!!!!! Whoever was lucky enough to get it stole it. A good friend had one, and it was dry-stuck (It sat in his garage and never moved for 3 or 4 years), The tires are about 10%, the rim locks didn't work right, the brakes were bad, the radiator leaked, drawbar was off of it, and the tin was fair. NO electric start No hydraulics... nothing too specail about it, and he got $700 for it

The new owner (whom I also know) got it running with little work to getting it turning over, and now is going to restore it and put it on steel.

Just my thoughts,

Brad

I think the buyer got a good deal, especially if the tractor looked as good as it looks in the photo. All the sheet metal would cost a fortune to find in that good of condition. TractorMike

See that B front axle weight? Rare item. I've seen a complete original B front axle weight fetch $300 at auction. So, even if the engine was stuck, the seller really made out. If the tin really was as good as it looks in the photo, he could part it out for the sheet metal, seat frame, air cleaner assembly, various engine parts, etc. and do very well. And if it's not stuck and can be made to run, he's got a nice-looking working tractor with a rare accessory.
