gordon with all do respect,i dont think an allis will work for him as they still have the foot clutch.the only true hand clutch is the older model john deeres.

The JD hand clutch would be fine, but the brakes are on each side of the tractor, rather than together on the right, so one missing a left foot could not use the brake. However, the WD hand clutch could be disconnected, and that same location, with a bit of ingenuity, could be utilized through the appropriate linkage crossing over forward of the battery box to the foot clutch. In fact, if the right rear wheel were left out at least one position and the right fender reworked a bit, enough room could be gained to mount a new lever and linkage to the clutch and still retain the hand clutch. I think a similar plan could be worked up with the D series.

I agree with Bob, you still need to push on the foot clutch to put the tractor into gear.

I can shift my WD from any gear just using the hand clutch.
