Sounds like to me that you have an air leak, prolly around the throttle shaft. The seals get old and the brass shaft gets worn. I took my entire carb off and rebuilt it, no problem. Kits are about 25 bucks.

Thanks for the input,the throttle shaft and ckoke hft are in great condition,but the belly and main jet were filled up with rust and s**t,cleaned her up,fresh gasket(1)and new gas,she runs like a champ,idles real fine. Now I am going out for a ride with it.
