where does this dang spring go?

ok - continuing on the total overhaul of the d14. Engine is back in, getting close to a first time start up to make sure this thing will actually run.
When i got the tractor, two springs were hanging from the alternator bracket. On the parts pages attached to this thread , one of them looks to clip on the end of
the choke rod and then on the carb. That one looks pretty straight forward. The other shows somehow clipping on the rod that runs from the govenour to the carb.
That one has me stumpped. Can't see anyplace that it should hook to . It's #5 on the governor parts page . Anyone have a pic of this spring or know where it's
supposed to go?

Images for questions above.

joe :
what is this parts group for? kinda interesting - the d14 view is identical, except the spring is hanging in the air above the rod. your view shows it clipping on to (i think) the radiator drain. That drain petcock is about the only thing around to try to clip that spring on. Nothing more in the manuals or parts books.

That photo is mine, taken from my webpage. It is for a 1942 AC Model B. I have no idea if it is applicable to any other AC models.

thanks much for the pic. anti surge spring - ok, think i get it. Is this pic off a D14?
don't think i would have put it there !
thanks
