Allis Chalmers virgin

Ive never owned an allis chalmers tractor and my father didnt either. Was driving around the backroads west of our farm about 20 miles and came across a couple of
allis chalmers tractors. Stopped in and the owner was happy to see them go to someone that would do something with them. They came with two front end loaders two
sickle mowers a three bottom mounted plow and a bush hog mower. One is basically a parts tractor because it has a large hole in the block. Might be a candidate for a
repower of some sort. The other one will not take much to get it going. Be prepared for some questions down the road when I get working on them.

Looks like a great deal. Get your hands on the operators and service manuals. Other than using more modern oils, those books will give you a BUNCH of useful information and answer several of your questions.

I have seen many large holes in blocks repaired with a screw on patch. Many small screws. And the advise to get a set of manuals is excellent. Even a parts manual can be helpful to see how they all go together even if you don't use it order parts. The part nos. are still good though. I believe since AGCO took over all you do is put a 70 before the AC number. But any place you order parts from will know that.

It was a great deal. Still surprised and happy with the way it all came about.I was reading the manual I got with the tractors some last night.
