Gd day,

I have an AC D17. Front end replaced with a Ford tractor (welded).
3rd gear doesnt work but the rest of gears do. The backend parts are missing.

It also has a 517 Loader with a whole mess of hydraulic lines of various thickness and plumbing parts attached to lift cylinders.
In order to rectify the loader problems. I would like to know where I can find a service and parts manual.

Thank you

This is a project I bought. I have a MF65 as a main tractor.

I am a military veteran, so tractor requires a manual for me to repair it before selling it. I scoured the 500 models for 517 but nothing was found.

I could take a photo for you to see the mess am dealing with.

Maybe somebody else could reply to my request without out being
rude.

I'm not being rude I am just telling you this site has the manuals you are looking for simple as that. Look in the parts area of this site under Allis Chambers then D-17 and scroll down to the manual area simple as that. By the way I am a D.A.V Navy Veteran

It is possible you have an aftermarket loader. And I doubt you will find the loader and steering tied together in an Allis Chalmers manual. I will suggest you take a number of pictures (loader steering, hoses, etc.) and post them as the AGCO parts book does not list a 517 loader. They show the 500 with mounting parts for the D17s and others. If the 517 is on a tag include a picture of it. Is the 517 a decal or painted on the loader? Does this loader have a front mounted crankshaft driven hydraulic pump? Pictures may let someone here help with identification.

The series of your D17 needs to be identified as well. Have you found the serial number of the tractor? This site's store sells a number of D17 manuals for the different series D17s, and engines used. You may need one of those as it sounds like there may be steering issues as well as loader issues. I don't see any loader manuals here.

Here is a link you can click to go to the official site for Allis Chalmers Manuals: http://www.agcopubs.com/ There is a phone number at the upper right of their homepage that you can call for publication assistance. The people there may be able to best help you with manuals.

I gave you the link to the Allis Chalmers Farm Loaders parts book when you first asked about this on the Massey Ferguson Forum. Here it is again in case you missed it.

Allis Chalmers Farm Loaders Parts Book

Looking down through the models there is a 17 and a 500 but no 517. It appears the 517 is a 500 series loader variation. If you go through the 500 loader pages you find some parts Identified as for 414, 415, 417, 517, 519. Again, pictures may help get you the correct information.

If the link above doesn't work correctly, go to https://parts.agcocorp.com/en_US/. Click on "Search by Parts Book". In the search box that opens enter " A-C FARM LOADERS - ALL MODELS ". That should get you the parts book.
