Have you seen that you tube clip, on the $500:00 Allis 210 overhaul Video, This guy is from Colorado, is a machinist/mechanic and has his own shop on his farm, a very professional guy,but the 2 nd ring on every piston was broke, but he never said what he thought caused that, is that Either causing that??

I've seen the video and could tell it was his first 426 Allis engine he had ever worked on. Valve guide seals are an absolute NO-NO on one of those. New conn rod bolts is an automatic thing in my shop, as the new bolts are far better than the old bolts. Anyway, broken second rings was pretty common on those engines and ether maybe helped it along. The new rings were changed in about 1976 or so. Seems they were either stuck in the groove from carbon build-up or broken.

Had the 426 engine in a 7045 and two Uni-Harvestors without any engine problems .Some smoked too much under load . Never had the highest power version with the large injection pump.
