Lash me now - road patrol

So about 2 years ago a fire went through where I go on vacation (and have since I was 6 mon old). It was essentially a fire storm, moved something like 20 miles in 20 minutes.

So after all the clean up, there is still a road patrol left in a guys yard. Rubber burnt off, but sheet metal doesn't look warped. If it wasn't somewhat unique I would let it go and never think about it again. However it's a little unique.

I guess to a certain extent I could motor swap if it's bad. What else am I asking for trouble with after that type of fire?

Start the lashings to tell me I'm crazy.

Several different mfgs made motor graders. Allis Speed Patrol. American conversions on IH, MM , Austin Western, Adams and several pull graders were rubber tired too. Pic would be helpful.

No such thing as a road patrol made by A/C. They did how ever make a Speed Patrol I so happen to own a 1947 Speed Patrol

If it really is a Speed Patrol, they're so basic and simple, getting it going may not be that big of a deal as compared to something with wiring and hydraulics. After a fire things have a way of rusting solid. That I imagine would be the biggest challenge with the engine, and the mechanisms of the grader.

Motor out of a WC thru 170 will fit it so that is no problem and WC transmissions are common. Is it the stretched WC fame with the wide front or the WC with a single front wheel and blade on the underside? Those with the single front are really rare.
