WD-Miter gears for Belt Pulley

I opened the cover where the belt pulley slips in as it needs a new seal. Looking in the round hole on the side there appears to be two miter gears one that runs the Belt Pulley and one below it. It has been years since I have worked on one of these drive trains and was wondering what the lower Miter gear runs. I looked in the book trying to find a part number for the belt pulley opening seal and could not really see how all the gears go??? I suppose it would all make sense if I tear into it but hoping not to go that far? Appreciate any answers?? Cleddy

Are you sure you're not seeing a reflection of the one and only gear in the oil puddle below it ??

Have to agree with Dr. Allis, there is only one bevel gear on the main shaft that drives the belt pulley.

That makes sense. Thanks for the answer and when I look again I will sure feel foolish. The Eyes just don't work as good as they used to. I been all through that drive train a couple times and I should know
better??? Cleddy

It was just was the Most perfect reflection and when checking the dept of the front puddle it not being more than a 1/2 deep was convincing. What was most deceiving was when looking way in past the second opening was a perfect reflection of what looked like the top of a second gear which quickly disappeared with draining. Thanks for the help??Cleddy
