Allis Chalmers C

I recently purchased this Allis Chalmers C. I can't find any identifying numbers to determine what year it was built. Is there some location where the identifying plate should be? It has a rear hydraulic pump coming off the PTO case and it has a pulley mount on the other side of the PTO case. It has been customized so it won't be anywhere near original, but I think it will clean up and look pretty good when painted. What is the correct color for this tractor? Attached are some pictures

Your first picture shows right where the serial number is stamped. Flat spot just forward of the shiftier is where the number is

The only numbers and lettering in front of the shifter is TRACTOR 110 On the round plate on the right side of transmission below the shifter is 200964, I assume this is just a casting number. Thanks for the response

TRACTOR NO is cast in the top cover, I think that is what you are seeing. Just to the rear of that (towards the shift lever) is the spot where the serial number was stamped on to the housing. You may need to do some scraping and sanding paint away to see the stamped numbers.

Flat spot forward of the shiftier if it is in fact a C will have C and then numbers following the C which are the serial numbers. I own 4 Cs and all have it there

Thanks for the year built. I will use spray cans to paint, where is a good place to get the right color. Tractor supply has AC
orange, not sure it is correct, or maybe that is the best you can do without mixing it.

I used to get paint mixed at NAPA or car parts stores. I've noticed most people painted their
Allis tractors with J.I. Case orange which is wrong for the older models. The correct color is
a much duller orange. After the D17 came along, the Allis orange became much brighter. Allis
used orange after the purchase of the Monarch Tractor Company in Springfield, Ill. Monarch Butterflies,
as opposed to yellow caterpillars.
